- She became a Reiki Master when she lost her father. Practising Reiki helped her channel her energies and to overcome the loss of her father.
- Ruchira is a book reviewer as well, and she believes that posting book reviews helps her in understanding the mind of the reader. This has helped her write her book Voyagers. The protagonist, Leonardo, is facing a challenging situation, and how he ends up following his heart.
- She found a publisher in the US, who helped in the distribution. She believes that the is still learning the process of book publishing and marketing. She realised from her first novel that if an author does not market the book, the book does not achieve its full potential in terms of sales.
- Time Management Tip: “It’s all about prioritising your day”. She has 3 or four must do things on her To Do List every day, so that by 4 PM, she is able to devote full time to her son.
Five For Five
Ruchira’s book recommendation: Voyagers into The Unknown.
Print, e-Book or Audiobooks: Ruchira prefers ebooks
Advise to authors who are looking to get their book published: Be clear about what you are looking from the book. For example, self-publishing enables an author to keep track of the sales much better than traditional publishing.
